He said that if someone makes a film on mathematical prodigy, but hopes to show how he will solve math problems. The filmmaker revealed that Vidya Balan made it a point to understand the working of “each math problem” formulated in the script. Anu mentioned that the actor devised a “singing-song method” to learn the 17 and 21 digit numbers, and that she could answer any question in the script within 15 minutes. Perhaps it was “really the soul of Shakuntala Devi”, who guided Vidya, Anu Menon.
